FNMC Presents: #Living Room Performances

FNMC is happy to announce our Living Room Performances of Living Composers Social Media Competition! This series will feature performances of the three winning works of the 2020 FNMC Composition Competition. The competition is open to flutists of all ages and all submissions will be made by tagging FNMC on Facebook and/or Instagram. Each category of the competition will be advertised separately according to the timeline outlined below.
There are THREE categories for entry (scroll down for repertoire information as it’s announced!):
Category 1: Solo Flute (Sponsored by Carolyn Nussbaum Music Company @flute4u)
Repertoire: Ki-ka-ko for solo flute by Julien Monick
To obtain the score, join FNMC or purchase directly from the composer.
Deadline to submit: August 15, 11:59pm CST
Category 2: Flute & Piano (Sponsored by Flute Center of New York @flutecenterofny)
Repertoire: Crash by Zach Gulaboff Davis
To obtain the score, join FNMC or purchase directly from the composer.
*FNMC has also hired a pianist to record the accompaniment; members can request this recording to use in their
performances by emailing us at flutenewmusicconsortium@gmail.com.

Category 3: Flute & Electronics (Sponsored by Flute Specialists @flutespecialists)
E.J. Louwerse, 50 Fish for flute and soundscape

Deadline to submit: November 1, 11:59pm CST
Rules:
- Submit a video via Facebook or Instagram.
- Include the hashtag #FNMClivingroomperformances and @flutenewmusicconsortium so we can find it on both Facebook & Instagram
- In the caption of your video, include the name of the composition and the composer. Also tag @flutenewmusicconsortium.
- Follow @flutenewmusicconsortium via either Facebook or Instagram.
- Follow the corporate sponsor of each category via Facebook or Instagram
Make sure your post is public so we can see your entry! Winner will receive a cash prize from the corporate sponsor of each category and a chance to present a virtual concert hosted by the FNMC Facebook page.
