.Flute New Music Consortium is looking forward to celebrating new music together February 18-20, 2022 at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona! This event will include workshops, performances, and lectures and will highlight Samuel Zyman as we feature one of the simultaneous premiere performances of his new work commissioned by FNMC: Intuition for Two Flutes.

Deadline to pre-register: January 15. Registration costs: $50 for non-FNMC members and $30 for current members. Accepted performers and presenters and any collaborative artists are responsible for providing their own transportation/accommodations and will be expected to register for the festival.

FNMC New Music Festival attendees are eligible to receive a discounted hotel rate from the Marriott Tucson University Park Hotel (880 East Second St., Tucson, AZ 85719). Please make your reservation by January 13, 2022. All rooms have two queen beds and the FNMC rate is $149 plus taxes and fees.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
If you are flying into Tucson directly, there are a few ways you can get to the place you are staying. These include ride sharing apps, taxis, public transportation, and rental cars. Click here for more information on transportation from Tucson airport.
If traveling to Tucson from Phoenix, there are a number of options to get to your destination, including Groome Shuttles, charter busses, and rental cars.
For transport in the Tucson area, there are many public transportation options for getting around the city. These include Sun Link, Sun Tran, Sun Van, Sun On Demand, and Sun Shuttle. Currently, all Sun Tran services are fare free! For more information on public transportation services in Tucson, click here. If you decide to ride the Tucson Sun Link Streetcar (map below), the closest stop to the UA music building is the UA Center for Creative Photography stop at 2nd street and Olive. Included below is a map of the Streetcar stops.
For visitor parking near the University of Arizona Music building, there are garages and individual spots on that are charged by the hour. The hourly rate for these spots is $2 per hour and can be paid for using the Passport Parking app or a pay station at some locations. More information on visitor parking on the campus of University of Arizona can be found here.
